 How you have helped GAFFI so far? By studying the Burden of Severe Fungal Infections in Burkina Faso. This data has now been published Bamba 2018.
 Personal comment on the major needs in Burkina Faso which GAFFI should be addressing: In Burkina Faso, the treatment of mycoses remains empirical due to lack of qualified personnel and adequate technical platform extending the length of stay in the hospital, so medical costs in a context of limited financial resources. To overcome this, there is a need for:
- Technical capacity building in terms of training for the diagnosis of mycosis;
- Strengthening the level of technical platform to make the diagnosis of mycoses;
- Development of research projects for development including fungal component.
 Links to key fungal/global health institutions in Malawi: There are no direct links in Burkina Faso to any global health institutions because of the absence of statistical data of fungal infections in the country health directory, fungal infections are not listed because they are underdiagnosed and treated empirically. Also, because of the limited access to more powerful diagnostic tools, there is a paucity of data regarding the burden of fungal infections in Burkina Faso. Much remains to be done to overcome them.
