Personal comment on the major needs in Egypt which GAFFI should be addressing: Establish a Medical Mycology Reference laboratory in Egypt. Recognition of multicenter network between medical institutes. Support the epidemiological studies on fungal diseases. Availability of diagnostic tools which help in fast diagnosis of fungal diseases. Increase the availability of antifungal drugs for treatment and management.
