How you have helped GAFFI so far: I was honored to participate in the GAFFI Lima meeting educating the country representatives on guideline creation and dissemination as well as educational opportunities (on line and live) in medical mycology.
Personal comment on the major needs in Belgium which GAFFI should be addressing: Fungal infections are widely prevalent in the US and with the increasing base of immunocompromised hosts they will become even more so. GAFFI will play a key role in bringing these to the attention of the public and key decision makers to increase awareness and funding.
